Many obese children would not want weight weight loss surgery even if it would benefit them, according to a study by the British non-profit organization Carnegie Weight Management.
Of the 100 clinically obese youth surveyed, 71% of them felt bariatric surgery is dangerous. Although the children . ranging in age from 8 to 17 . demonstrated an understanding that obesity can cause major problems in their relationships and careers as well as their health, they would rather avoid using surgery to solve the problem.
