So, I went in for my third fill, right after the holidays, and I gained two pounds. It's been more than a week since then, and I feel l've been in a bit of a tailspin. When I first saw the scale and realized I'd gained, I felt a little relieved. I know, that sounds crazy, doesn't it? But I felt relieved.

Revising Resolutions

You know, this time of year always makes me think about my weight.  I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this.  How many resolutions revolve around weight loss, or for the more PC minded, “getting healthy”?  How many commercials for Jenny Craig (way to go Valerie Bertinelli) and Weight Watchers (my dog has a toy that looks just like the “Hungry Monster”) are we inundated with this time of year?

Feeling a Little More Victorious

So, in the past few days I’ve had some exciting moments. Like, for example, how for Christmas dinner yesterday, I wore a new sweater. It was cable knit, park green, and, oh, why yes, it was an XL. That means it was the first sweater I bought that was not a plus size shirt, which also means that I get to buy cheaper and cuter clothing without what I like to refer to as the “chubby charge”. This just means that clothes that are intended for plus sizes are any where from $5 to $20 more expensive than their “regular sized” counterparts.
